No more Sleep Apnea
Dr. Jak’s goal has always been to make treatment of sleep apnea available to patients where healthcare is not readily accessible. Over the years, he has helped several small critical access hospitals in rural Washington state establish sleep centers, all accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Presently, Dr. Jak travels regularly to seven remote towns in the state to test and treat patients with sleep disordered breathing.
In the light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sound Sleep Clinic has decided to make evaluation and treatment of sleep apnea available online. By answering standard questionnaires, Dr. Jak will determine whether the patient is likely or not to have sleep apnea and treatment is warranted.
Overview of Sleep Apnea
Getting treatment for obstructive sleep apnea is one of the easiest ways to improve your health and quality of life. However, the usual route to treatment sometimes causes more delay and inconvenience. Dr. Jak explains the pathophysiology of obstructive sleep apnea and discusses how one can go directly to treatment without a sleep study.
